Emerald Tiara and Pink Diamond Ring Smash Auction Records

This emerald and diamond tiara which was part of Princess Katharina Henckel Von Donnersmarck’s collection, was sold at the Sotheby’s Geneva Magnificent & Noble Jewels sale on May 17th for $12.76 million. This emerald tiara achieved a record for being the highest priced tiara ever sold as well as the most expensive emerald piece.

The auction, which totaled more than $89 million in sales, also sold this 10.99 ct. pink diamond ring for $10.8 million. Although the ring did not beat any records, it is the third highest price for a pink diamond.
